Rachel and Esnat
Today we went to visit with Rachael and Esnat, two of the widows we met with on Wednesday. They wanted us to come spend time with them at their houses.
Esnat lost her husband in 1989 and Rachael lost hers in the late 2000s. Rachael has a son named Will. He is in high school and has hopes of going away to college. Rachael is praying for a way to finance his education.
They are faced with big challenges in their lives, but they have incredible faith and such an amazing outlook on life. There is so much I can learn from these two women.
J-Zone has a micro business education class that they teach the widows. The class covers the basics of having your own business. One of the widows said that the classes changed her life. She was able to start her own garden, repair her leaking roof and be a provider for her family.
These two women had such faith and positive spirit that it was an inspiration for all of us as we go back to the states for our normal lives. They have perspective for their problems.
Rachael was matched with me to pray for me as I go back to the states. I feel so blessed to know that someone on the otherside of the world will be concerned about the details of my life. We took a picture together so we can remember each other as we continue to remain in contact.
