After spending time in prayer for the children, teachers and house moms at SOS orphanage we worked on a secondary plan for the day camp. This was our last day and the grand finale, I knew there was still a pan for this camp.

We decided that at this point the best outreach was to children on the street. We sent Vasco to his neighborhood with the van in hopes of getting 20 kids from the streets. I saw a teenage boy on a bike and asked if he wanted to come to the camp. He was excited. I told him he had 20 minutes to go tell friends. About 20 minutes later 6 boys came walking up the street.

Lweendo made a few calls and about 12 children came walking from the other direction. By the time Vasco returned with the van we had roughly 60 children that at the beginning of the day had no idea they would be part of our day camp.

The kids were so into it we played right through lunch. We had 6 different stations including crafts. The camp ended up lasting until almost 3 pm. The kids and the adults were all pretty exhausted by the end of it. What started as a tough day ended on such a high note.
